Obviously I'm a Tänak fan and he should benefit a LOT when theres slush on the road for guys starting before him.

But they should absolutely plow and salt the roads, to create equal conditions.

Could turn into another Monte circus, as per a few years ago when Delecour crossed his tyres and won by a mile on some stages.

Do they have access to monte winter tyres on this rally, or could they just go ans buy some sets freom Pirelli/Michelin locally?

I think you mean Monte 2011 in IRC:
    https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...-2011/?s=15597

Thing is that then it was dry and started to snow (a lot). Skodas and Solberg on slicks lost 8-17!!! s/km to Delecour on studs.

Now in Monza it looks set for something more like Monte 2018:
    https://www.ewrc-results.com/results...2018/?s=154131

Then there was fresh snow that started to melt, with reverse order it was Breen and Evans opening the road covered in snow, while last WRCs like Ogier and Mikkelsen had almost only wet road and very late starters like Nucita in Fiat 124 (4th place in stage ) had drying road.

Only in the case that it has snowed a lot just before the stage starts, and the snowfall ends once the stage is live.

i will definitely hope they won't!

Currently based on forecasts like this:

    https://www.yr.no/en/forecast/daily-...ergamo/Selvino

    - There will definitely be precipitation both Friday and Saturday
    - Right now forecast says that it should turn from snow to rain already Friday afternoon, in that case everything on road will melt
    - However, with temperatures within a few degrees of freezing very small temperature differences have huge impact so we wont know until Saturday morning
