It's these marks that Greensmith probably referred to after the stage.

True but still the same for everyone. And Neuville sounds like the voys whose toy has been taken away, now claims he is not interested. Childish. If he would be in the lead he would never make such comment ! (Ogier doesn't - he just says he'll try his best at winning). Neuville is super quick but prone to errors and has not shown iyet he can sustain end-of-season pressure to bag it in.

Can't see how this isn't obvious to everyone.
You could also turn it around and say that long seasons are easier because you can afford one crash or technical retirement and still win the title. Remember how Ogier crashed in Finland 2017? Portugal 2018?

Luck is an element always present in this sport, there's no changing it. And seasons are different with each other, but a champion is the one who's best that year.

Furthermore, it has been an exceptional year. It would be a different thing if FIA had announced a year ago that "hey, we're gonna make the 2020 season now half shorter".

You’ve got to ask, would Ogier or Neuville say what they’re saying, if it was them on the cusp of the title? Especially Neuville!!

Evans, if he wins, will be worthy. He’s had the same hand as everyone else and yes, luck has a bigger effect with less events, but he can only do what he can do without external intervention and he’s simply done a better job.

TBH, it’s a bit shit of Ogier or Neuville to play the championship down, it’s been a crap year for many and they should be fully congratulating the winner of the championship, whoever that may be, not adding negative spin, given the dreadful circumstances.
They’ve got a role to play in terms of representing the whole of the WRC, given their history and status and they should maybe consider not talking out on this one.

100% agree. When did WRC drivers become such pricks? Can you imagine Kankkunen or Sainz saying such bullshit like Neuville and Ogier?

Not everyone though, I believe Tänak said that if Evans gets it, then he is champ. No ifs and buts. But if this kind of season is reason what motivates Ogier to hang around at least one more year, then let him whine, at least he can prove next year if he still can "put his money where his mouth is".

At Toksport Tidemand runs on Pirellis and Kopecky on Michelin it seems, kinda weird. But I guess Kopecky wanted to use what he is familiar with.

Sorry, where can I see what they said? Haven't had time to follow that closely.
