    Well that was fun!
    Grinning face with smiling eyes
I got a call late last night about giving a passenger ride to Giuseppe Redaelli, President of the Monza Circuit, and it was an honour to do so! Very fun to give a WRC experience in the PA Racing ŠKODA Fabia

    hope you enjoyed it Giuseppe!

Not related to the P1 drivers, but
Solberg had the Sottozero tyre, but no snow at all. I don't know other WRC2/WRC3 drivers, but could this be an attempt to try and see if these work better on muddy conditions than the full wets?

It’s heartbreaking to see WRC titles being decided on theses stages, no matter how ‘tricky’ they can get due to the weather or how much Porter & Co insist that they’re brilliant or fascinating.

Even if we can still have some decent action on Saturday, I really hope the series standings won’t change so that we can celebrate Evans and Martin as champs. After all, they were the best ones after the 6 proper Rallys of the season.

No, but it's understandable to me that he values this championship less than last year's. Of course he'll try to win it if he has an improbable chance. But even Ogier said he'll stay for another year because this one didn't feel like a proper championship.

"it's not the right year to be champion. I discussed it with my manager and told him that I wouldn't be very proud to be crowned after a year like this."
To me it sounds like he said he simply values this championship less, not that he would refuse the trophy and the title because he doesn't like it, as you say.

In the eventuality of Evans or Neuville winning their only title in 2020, rest assured that many will feel this way towards them in the future.
Should we not assign the title? We should. Wasn't Evans the best so far in 2020? He was. But the championship is what it is. Point is, I don't see why you are all losing your minds over some drivers who don't think that this year's championship is "just as good" as last year's.

and then again i know people who share your opinion
They can of course, and normally I’m a guy who can accept both sides of an argument. But on this, I’m sorry I just think it’s total none sense to try and devalue a title through circumstances beyond anyone’s control, and it’s not like they are trying to award it after Mexico. The WEC only has 6/7 rounds, never heard anyone say that is not a WC worthy of the name.
My personal opinion is people are trying to use the global circumstances to justify why their favourite didn’t win...as has been said, Motorsport has always been about man and machine, so if your car breaks down it doesn’t mean you deserve to be champion. To this point Evans/Toyota have done the best job, so deserve the lead.
I couldn’t care less who wins the title, I just want it to be exciting, and from the look of the weather forecast, it should be.

Indeed, and who knows something about the 1995 season, knows that McRae was helped by the short season and by Sainz having to miss 1 of the 8 rounds. McRae's fame largely overshwadowed this in later years, but it's not that 1995 was such an odd season: in 1994 there were 10 rounds, in 1996 9 rounds. And in 1993, top drivers weren't yet competing for the full calendar, so 1st place Kankkunen ran 10 rounds, 2nd place Delecour 9 rounds. Not a big difference for that era.
