Pirellis come off the rim easier? Ogier and Tänak both had punctures and tyres completely gone

Yeah, this and also all of yesterday morning loop (albeit with some start position advantage).

Also nice to see Sordo waking up.

Toyotas have a 1-2-3 with Neuville 25 seconds behind Rovanperä.

and Ott just 4 secs behind Neuville but im afraid he will drop even more now with no spare and confidence gone.

Sordo really surprised me this morning

Good run through a very slippery SS9 - only 11.5s off the stage win, and that's after losing around 15s with a stall early on! Ready for a snowy SS10

Monte is a love/hate rally for me.
There are always changes and surprizes both in weather and due to that driving conditions.

some drivers can thrive in a stage like this and some others loose a whole rally by a puncture or a small off.
We have unsung heroes like the hugely important ice crew. They should be nemed in the startlist. Without them you are 100% lost, due to fast changing conditions. Kudos to all ice crews this year as well - hat off!

Next stage is supposed to be full snow, same again, but we can see different crews going fast compared to a black ice stage.

Ogier and other locals, that have been playing on roads like this since 18 yo, same with Nordic drivers have an advantage from playing around frozen lakes and normal winter roads!
