Neuville was impressive indeed on SS2 last year on that snowy section but IMO it all came from knowing the car vs against the others who were doing just their second stage with their new cars.

but will the snow stay? i remember someone here wrote last week it will be rain and + degrees from today onwards.

Also SS2 has been run almost every year in the past. It won't be run this year, and most of the route is new.

This was surely a nasty crash, but still hopefully it doesn't become a habit for organizers to build chicanes for ALL places were crashes happen. It would bring WRC yet another step closer to F1.

Well, this was a crazy fast section anyway, I would have rather just exchanged the stage for something else. I already said before Tänak's crash that it's a crazy section.

Well... for example in Germany WRC 2015 in place where Prokop(?) and Protasov went off back in 2014 even road repairing was done - additional embankment to make road wider. At least for one episode in 2015 WRC it worked out.

Speaking of nasty crashes; who remembers Roman Kresta's crash in the Octavia where it ended up with two wheels hanging in mid-air over a big drop? I just saw a social media post about it and I believe it to be on this year's route (SS11/13).
