    Watching Gus here is really painful. There were comparisons with 2005 season by Garde and Kresta but those two were actually able to win stages here and there and they were not loosing minutes on stages. IMHO they were actually quite competitive considering how many WRC cars were around that time.

    Wasn't Garde even leading the championship after the first two rounds? Before things fell away for him....

    I'd say throughout his career Garde had the same level as Lappi and Suninen, winning stages and getting podiums here and there but never having enough luck for a rally win.
