Welcome to the @FIAERC season showdown on Gran Canaria for
@RIslasCanarias. On Recce this morning and the weather is very unpredictable up in the hills. Tyre choice will be critical.

On my way to the #RallyIslasCanarias, the @FIAERC
title-decider. Once again, I'd like to take off my hat for all the people involved as they managed to put a balanced, attractive and safe calendar in record time despite the challenges raised by the pandemic. Let's enjoy the show!

No real surprise to see the top Spaniards well up the order. Pace this year in the tarmac series has been strong and of course Lopez won last year.

The rally website updates faster: https://www.atodomotor.com/online/2020/islascanarias (click on right side)
Anyway I found Marczyk interesting, both here so far and in Hungary he is top 3 on short and SSS stages and then miles back on others.

Lukyanuk said he wasnt in the right mood or with the best set-up to push on the QS. So he chose to save tyres as thinks the weather will be mostly dry.
He didnt seem bothered by starting so far back and is happy the others wont know his times before they have to start their next stage.

Solberg:
Qualifying Stage and practice done at @RIslasCanarias- 7th fastest despite quite a lot of sliding ! Picked 5th on the road tomorrow so let’s see how it goes - expecting it to be very wet which adds another layer to the challenge of a new rally !
all countries were like that. At Greece at late 80s Greek multichampion Kirkos had admitted that a difficult long downhill asphalt stage(Fteri) at rally Achaios, he had tested 42 times for one year.
