For me this mean only one: Yaris really fast car and Evans adapt better than Ogier. We must wait till May-June when Ogier will adapt to the car and then we can compare both. For my opinion Ogier will destroy everyone from late Spring.

Historically speaking I agree with you, but I have a feeling that Evans knows this is his moment, and he is going to put everything into showing what he can do....I don’t underestimate him.

With all respect to Meeke and JML, it is pretty challenging to see that they would had been currently leading this rally.

If you look at last year Meeke's pace was pretty similar to Evans this year, so I don't see it as impossible.

Reliability and stable results is something else though, dunno yet how that will work out with Evans. But speed is there in Monte for sure.

Faster than Loeb. Also faster than Suninen and Greensmith with more experience in their car. And yeah, completing Monte at a decent pace with no mistakes is also impressive.

I wouldn't count "beating Loeb" when Loeb is this slow. Other than that Rovanpera is doing very well, in a way better than I expected, keep it on the road at quite good speed and learning.

Still it won't change that I think it's bad idea to put him in the 3rd car while they say they aim for manu champ. It puts unecessary pressure on him and he is unlikely to regularly finish in better points than Hyundais 3rd car.

After 3 days he is 6th and have lost 0.86s/km to leader where as your beloved Tidemand's best stage last year when looking at s/km was 1.27s/km and most times the gap was way bigger and also didn't he crash while going that pace?

in 2019 6th ahead of Meeke
in 2018 8th ahead of Bouffier
in 2017 6th ahead of Evans

How much are you expecting from his first WRC rally in a WRC car, which also happens to be the most difficult event of the season?

+1, Kalle has shown so many things already, that some people expect things from him that are actually not realistic at all. He will get there, don't worry...

And/or make a few stages longer. I'm no fan of this 20km every stage format.
