Callum Devine seems to be targetting a full ERC campaign in 2020 and appears to have backing from sponsors and Motorsport Ireland.

Yes we talked that a couple of posts ago. He's a good driver as proven by the weekend and this years ITRC.

    Oh yeah sorry.

If Ingram isnt in ERC next year I will be supporting Devine. Another cracking young prospect.

Great to see Motorsport Ireland supporting CD hope this will make it easier for him to find the funds than Chris did! Not had any gravel experience in a R5 car as far as I know but looks like a quick learner.

At least our local TV has given them some coverage:

    Ingram:
ITV reporting live earlier on our title win !

I heard Chris Ingram thanking a John Coyne for his support.

He is a former Irish rally driver from the 1980's and the man behind Irish Motorsport's funding of young driver's.

I think he must've played a big part in filling his funding gap.

Checking him out he's a pretty wealthy retired CEO of a tech company.

Great to see, although would be nice if they covered him more in their local sports news prior to that to raise his profile?

He made a good point; Colin McRae, maybe even Richard Burns were household names in the UK. I could stop 100 people in the street and wouldn’t be surprised if nobody had heard of Kris Meeke or Elfyn Evans. Despite ‘All Live’ and rallies packaged for media coverage the profile in this country has only fallen.

He has been on Granada & NW Tonight a couple of times over the years, like when Rally GB was using a 'local' stage at Cholmondley. But there hasnt been any coverage of him in ERC since winning the U27 Championship in 2017.

Although with the size of football, rugby and other sports in the area, I suppose that's not really surprising.
