    Hi all

Looking to go for the first time next season as I’ve been to Wales Rally GB 3 times now and wanted a different experience. For those of you who have been have you any tips for getting to stages on time, places to get food and what the experience is like as a whole. I’ll be coming from England and hope that attending the event wouldn’t be a difficult thing to do.

    Thanks ever so much

    - Have winter tyres.
    - Have snow chains.
    - Several access roads are closed by the organizer and he does not announce which and when. Go early and have "Plan B".
    - Be prepared to stand still in very low temperatures for hours.
    - Better be in the stages at least 3 hours before first car.
    - Drive very carefully, there are black ice patches on the mountains and accidents are not rare.
    - There is strict spectator control only at the announced "spectator areas". Everywhere else everything is totally free, as it was in good old rallying. This is very good, but your safety is totally your responsibility.
    - There are very few places to eat on the mountains, if any. Only food is from random canteens in spectator areas, so be prepared.
