Only 2 out of 6 rounds on gravel - and both 1 day events.....

To be honest, I'm not sure what to think; great news for the new event in Clacton, but the rest is similar to this year.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

A rally in each of the 4 Home nations is the good part however still think West Cork (great event nothing against it) has been included to encourage more Irish crews to do more of the championship. Clacton will be interesting but think they will need to increase the number of spectator points.

Biggest issue is still the number of crews doing a full series especially in the R5 class. Down to 2 crews this year again which is sad.

Matt Edwards says he hopes to go for a 3rd BRC next year but it all depends on funding as his Swift backing isnt what it was.

The Hyundai customer programme which helped his and Tom Cave's Rally GB entry may be another possibility.

Yes Swift have recently announced the closure of one of their factories and the boss Pete Smith has been noticeable by his absence from UK rallies in the last couple of months so good to see he is still able to provide some backing. Supposed to be at least two more announcements at AI tomorrow..
