Problem is good to watch doesnt usually win championships consistency does. Lucky can win for sure but also fuck it up in equal measure. Like Kajito what has Lucky got to prove at this level? He should have moved on after winning the series if he was serious about progressing any further as getting beaten to the title in 19 by someone driving with one eye on his meagre budget isnt going to impress many I'm afraid.

you have to put the car to the PF to get points. and as they will be rejected next round we decided not to go to Larnaca.

I agree with you on arguments in the whole (Ingram vs. Luky). But in this quoted one you are wrong. It´s not same for everyone. For sure if you don´t worry about money you can drive with other focus.
Or turn it around. Worries about funding makes every rally could be last if you crash...

we are also limited on budget. more often we have no idea if we would have enough for the next event. but we are lucky that our sponsors prefer to have spectacular drive instead of points

nothing is as boring as safe approach. especially now, when we have one title already.

also, even safe approach doesn't guarantee you a thing. look at Azores or Cyprus. or Italy, when we've lost 8 points due to unknown complication. (BTW this time they measured about 5mm less than actual, still within limits)

Ingram has shown speed very close to Lukyanuk on a few occaisions when he has been able to push.

By the way, I have just read that Al Attiyah is considering a full European Rally Championship campaign in 2020. I guess he doesn't have budget problems

I would say, that Al-Attiyah have said something like that - full ERC (or some other championship plans) a couple of times. Until the end of 2020 and all ERC rounds on his profile at ewrc-results, I wouldn´t believe it

It was £11k raised and money is now coming in for Rally Hungary.
