Ogier says it was different than in roadbook and in recce. Saying there was 1 bale in roadbook but 2 in the stage.
Neuville says also it was moved since recce.

Check page 65 of FIA rally guidelines: https://www.wrc.com/fileadmin/upload...019_def_en.pdf

How can penalties be imposed if that chicane didn’t match FIA standarts? Crews can’t be penalized for the organizers wrongdoing, even if it was printed on the roadbook.

Penalty should stand. Especially if members of the field got it correct be different if everyone got it wrong which wasn't the case

"The Right way" is rather subjective if it didn't match the roadbook as claimed by Ogier.

Clearly there were more car tracks in the very left opening cause the national rally drove that before, but we dunno where the bales were for them.

Additionally what we do know is that they were moved by marshalls after Suninen. Therefore Evans, Tidemand and Breen had a much straighter and wider line than all those before, and it also shows in the times as they also beat Tanak and Meeke.

I was in Dyfnant 2 this evening and it was noticeably darker for Breen than Tanak....darkness came quickly.
Was also in Elsi first thing this morning, can’t say I noticed much difference in lightness, was basically full light by time they got to us.
Tanak was clearly pushing in Dyfnant, bit lucky past us as he hit the inside bank on a quick left hander...

Rules say organisers can add barriers or other objects of hinderence if they feel correct route wasn't followed in recce. But I'm also certain this would of been addressed at drivers briefing if that was the case

Not me. He's not at his best on this type of rally and he has a new co-driver too.

Tbh some of his stage times were quite poor, but as usual he is still there and in a good position.

Expect Kalle to overhaul him pretty quickly tomorrow though.

And what wrong with stage-end chicane according to guideline? Not marked by arrows?
