Let's assume that during the three first stages one driver is like 30 seconds quicker than the second. Is he then allowed to cruise for the last stage in front of the TV cameras?

But he's been flying for 3 stages to get the lead. Now he can cruise those first 3 stages and go flat out only in the last one.
