Of course it´s like you say about Ogier taking 1st if needed.
But funny you talk so good about other drivers. Lappi doing better than Finland 2017, Ott being benchmark, Neuville poetry in motion (you might have listened too much to WRC+ commentators).
Still, history will only show Ogier WDC and no one cares about the others from the season 2019, ten years from now. History books rule and no matter how much or near in points, Tanak and Neuville, was it will be Ogier we remember from 2019. (If he wins WDC, that is, of course)"Reis vas pät pat kaar vas kut"
Tommi Mäkinen, back in the years...

I still remember how great Didier Auriol was in 1992. Or Vatanen late 1984 and early 1985 with the 205 T16. Or Toivonen a year later with Delta S4.

A bit strange that Ogier took just 1 spare, could have played it much safer with 2. Not because of tirewear but possible tire/rim damage.

I am talking about him taking one spare right now. It was clearly visible on the camera from service on allive.
EDIT: Huh and then Michelin says everyone takes 6 tires. Weird, though it was quite clear there was one tire in the boot:
All the Michelin @OfficialWRC drivers with 6 MICHELIN LTX Force H4 exept Tidemand with 5H4
EDIT2:
To check it out yourself go to the "Break" on allive before this stage and then go to 1:16:30Last edited by mknight; 14th September 2019 at 11:10.
