Brynhildsen is a good example of what the level has been in any toplevel rallying series, 3 months since last time in the car, 1 day testing, then he use first day to find out of settings and pace, when the others are on the pace from start.

Some years ago some drivers could jump in and do decent results, those days are over.

Of course that is unfair for Alex Tsouloftas, Mares and Habaj who should have a better starting position.
    The regulations are clear:
45.4.1 In ERC and ERT, the start order for subsequent Legs shall be based on the classification at the
finish of the final special stage of the previous Leg excluding any super special stage if run at the end of the
    Leg.
45.4.2 The first 10 cars in the overall classification will re-start as a merged group in reverse order
according to their classification in Art. 45.4.1. (ERC only)
    You were checking old regulations.
Since last year it is: 45.4 START ORDER FOR SUBSEQUENT LEGS The start order for subsequent Legs shall be based on the classification according to stage times at the finish of the final special stage of the previous Leg excluding any time penalties and any super special stage if run at the end of the Leg.
