The “M” on the back window denotes that the driver is a learner for the public highway and doesn’t have a full driving licence....that learner driver Oliver Solberg went fastest in qualifying for Rally Liepāja today.

    The kid is fast !

Georg Gross. Thought he bought that Fiesta WRC. Is a backer also of Tanak I think. Drives often with Ford WRC Cars.

Plus I didnt realise he had done much of his rallying in Latvia. Might explain this speed here.

He started in Latvia age 15, its 16 yrs in both Norway and sweden, but in cars like R1 and Fiesta ST, he has driven a Peugeot R2 in Latvia last years.
But in Norway the codriver has to drive the car between the stages, don't know how it is in Latvia?

But a quite decent start by Oliver, 3,5s in front of Brynhildsen that was on "maximum attack ".
Hopefully he has an other gear to put in this weekend.

Thanks. I'm afraid I was confusing him with Oscar Solberg who appeared in the British Rally Ch'ship a few times.

Oscar is Henning's son, he is 20 yrs old, pontus' halfbrother. It is just a little bit of motorsport in that family

4 Solbergs + 1 Tidemand in one big family is a way too confusing for all mortals :-)
Visit South Moravia. It is the real paradise
