Is that one of the reasons why car is "weaker" now ?

    Work etics ?
    Service quality ?

    Just asking!
    i dont think so.
if we had an incident about loose bolts,or something not properly installed yes.
But i dont think the case is something like that

ℹ️ Update on car #8 of @OttTanak: The team is yet to recover the car and speak to the crew, but we know that battery charge was decreasing before the stage. Our working assumption is that it is alternator or battery related.

Latvala retired for the same reason in germany last year and i think he had the alternator problem also on some other rally last year

It should be much more than that, if the road book says that you have to go from left side of gate.

Doesnt matter how much you win by using wrong side or is there barrier on first loop. There was barrier in recce. Normal cutting is different situation, its not linked with road book. This is.

Thinking back to Rally Australia 2014 when Kris Meeke was penalised 61 seconds for all 4 wheels having left the designated route.
Will be interesting to see how SS11 is viewed by Stewards today
    Similar issues I recall:
    M. Martin sometime in 2004? cut completely across a camping area either in Mexico or Argentina. Think he got 30s or so of penalty. Couldn't find it using quick search.
    on the other hand:
    P. Solberg drove across a sealed-off bridge in Mexico sometime around 2007? where the barrier on the bridge was put after the recced so he gained a lot relative to others but got no penalty as it wasn't like that in recce.
