    I do wonder whether he's now relying on family funding. His dad was wealthy back when he was running the WRC car but I believe his property development business suffered some hard times and the family were left relatively hard up. He may well be back in business now though and able to provide some support?

    Re: Ingram, I wonder whether there is some silent support from Eurosport after their dispute last year? It’s in their interest to have someone like Chris in the championship and I can’t imagine he would be all that keen to drive in ERC if they hadn’t come to some arrangement.

    His dad helped him build a cheap car to start with and then he showed his speed and got picked up by Peugeot UK.

    His dad's business went down and he has only had prizemoney and sponsorship to fund him for years now.

    I note his new Insta has Skoda Canarias mentioned. Maybe they helped him to come here...
