    Absolutely wonderful rally as usual!
    Has nothing to comment on except possibly more and longer stages .

    Very impressed by Tänak who wins the rally, the EP who really had speed, Breen and Mikkelsen who drove very well and not least Tom Kristiansson who wins the JWRC.

    Päijälä was the same stage in 2017 and 2019. Let's compare the times from first runs

    2017 Latvala 10:55.5
    2019 Meeke 10:37.4

    That's 18 seconds quicker! The 2017 Latvala would have been the slowest WRC car in 2019 (save for Greensmith).

    Comparing the fastest R5 and R2, there are even bigger gaps, but then again both Fabia R5 and Fiesta R2 were upgraded in between.

    In 2017 the conditions were slightly damp, in 2019 completely dry.

    Looking at the times section by section, it seems the marginal is smaller on the very fast sections and higher on more technical roads.
