Yes - I have pretty good knowledge of the financial arrangements. But thank you for your concern.

I'm just surprised that they haven't placed this opportunity with another driver who would fetch the necessary budget.

M-Sport had already planned finance for Evans' car. They needed Greensmith to replace him as its driver for the team. He has thanked them for giving it to him for Finland. He may have made a contribution, but we dont know.

Someone would have to pay to drive Greensmith's R5 however.

Perhaps the FIA would not allow it.

Greensmith was planning on a WRC drive later this year anyway, it's not like it was a gift, it was just that he got his WRC drive already now.

Another thing is that changing drivers after entries have closed must be expensive.

Good joke for M-Sport. In the beginning of the season I've heard rumors that they picked Pieniazek over Bergkvist just because he brought more money.

    Yeah, they´re playing with money.
However MSport have already paid entry fees logistical and for sure have the cars ready, how much would have to cost to offer young driver a wheel? And Bergkvists connections to MSport are there... Only real scrimping why MW doing this...

Both his and M-Sport's tweets seem clear, he's done for this weekend. Otherwise would have seemed like a nice idea.

If they don't find a way to get an extra WRC car there in time, they won't find a way for an R5 car either.

Well, they did just hand over chassis no. 6, which is located over the bay, in addition to chassis no. 5. I believe it`s not rented out for Finland.
