Evans:
I’m gutted to say I will not compete at @RallyFinland due to an injury sustained during a heavy landing at @RallyEstonia. It’s a hard one to take right now, but I have to trust the advice of the experts, and turn my focus to making a full and quick recovery.

At least Greensmith has recent experience in the WRC car from Portugal. Great bonus chance for him.

GG:
This is not the news a lot of people wanted to hear. I feel really sorry for @ElfynEvans & @scottmartinat. I wish Elfyn a speedy recovery.
Thank you @msportltd @fordperformance for putting your trust in me by giving me this opportunity in the @OfficialWRC again. #WRC #GG44 https://t.co/JsxoScc95J

Shame for Elfyn, as doubled1978 wrote, he has shown great speed there before.
And M-sport chose.. Gus..instead of double WRC2 champion Tidemand, as a sub for Elfyn? Really? Yes, of course GG had an ok run in Portugal, and he has good potential in the long run but come on, Portugal could be the easiest of all rallies to start with a new car and Pontus has year after year shown superb speed, talent and beat GG on home turf in Wales less than a year ago in R5-cars... there has to be something else behind this choice.

Tänak got 20 points closer to Evans, but as the main reason was a bad rally for Evans, I would say that Evans lost 20 points to Tänak, not Tänak gained. The point is, if the other one does not...
