He came back last year but only did 4 rallies. He only showed glimpses of pace and wasnt competitive in the i20 with best place being 8th.

So far so good after SS5 of #WestCorkRally ! 2nd of the classification and having a lot of fun !
“It’s drying a little bit but it’s quite slimey in places. I wasn’t confident on this stage so I’m sure the locals are going to kick my ass now,” he quips at the end of SS6. I can resume our weekend with one word : fantastic ! I didn’t know where I would be and finally we’ve been in the pace quite quickly with the Ford Mk2 Escort. And with all the fun we had this weekend, the victory in the national series is definitely the icing on the cake !
Big thanks to @westcorkrally , @WRCgerardquinn , Ryan Loughran and the NPL team for the top job, my co-driver @JarnoOttman and all the crews and fans out there for the top spirit.
I’m off for a good Irish beer to celebrate this top event !

I watched the official highlights from West Cork today. It was an excellent production (esp with that storm on the first morning) and some brilliant onboards.
(Btw, I didnt realise Cave has an entry and also scored points for the ITRC...)

The teams have now until April to decide whether they commit to the 2022 rules or not.
