Entry list for the first round the Cambrian is now open:

    https://www.rallies.info/webentry/20...ies.php?type=u

Note this is also a round of the BTRDA championship hence the mix of machinery. BRC runners will have A against their name. So far only Desi Henry in a Fabia R5 on the list.

Further to the news from the ERC sub forum news thread that Catie Munnings now has Red Bull UK backing, she's also said that she hopes to do some BRC rounds (and Rally GB) this year with Sainteloc. They'd be rallies which don't clash with her main ERC campaign, so that'd probably limit her to the Cambrian, Pirelli and/or Galloway Hills. https://www.autosport.com/erc/news/1...ull-uk-backing

Good luck to her, hopefully she can show more speed this year. Competition for Nabila Tejpar at least!

The championship is run by Dunfirmline Car Club. Details of the event dates are in the championship regulations here:

Very little BRC presence at ASI this year, compared to the big stand they had last year...

Hardly surprising considering the recent management departures. Not aware of any announcements of who is the new championship manager or is DR taking it on himself as well?

News from Ireland sounds like they are looking well ahead of the BRC for 2019...

The entry for the first round of the ITRC, the @GalwayIntRally, is surpassing all expectations already. At least 20 R5 cars along with 3 World Rally Cars will start the event. And entries are still open !

ITRC does seem to be in for a resurgence indeed, espeiclally with more of the top WRC guys switching to R5s they could be in for a special season over there.

Meanwhile, as you say, the BRC looks to be struggling a bit more. They do usually leave a couple of announcements until last minute though, so hopefully Edwards, Bogie, Laffey, Merion Evans or someone else will commit in the next week or two.

Of the seven BRC1 competitors announced so far for the Cambrian...

    Alan Carmichael (i20)
    Niall Henry (DS3)
    Desi Henry (Fabia)
    Enda McCormack (Fiesta)
    Josh Moffett (Fiesta)

...are all from across the Irish Sea anyway! I guess dangling West Cork and Ulster in front of them on the BRC calendar makes it easier for some to double-dip.

Only Tom Preston and Sacha Kakad are from Britain. Matt Edwards, Alex Laffey (who's been retweeting BRC Twitter posts) and Merion Evans at least have plans for 2019, so let's wait and see if they involve BRC or not. James Williams has entered the Cambrian with the car TBD but I suspect it'll be an R2 again. I'll be at Pirelli and Ypres, so hope a few more get involved.
