I think I asked somewhere in the virtual chicane discussions "have you ever seen a chicane in Monte"? Well, this year you will. This is about 10 km into SS1 and will break down a 2 km flat out section.

This is very typical natural chicane used in Czech or Slovak events. We have several such places on nearly every stage. I personally don't like them because they destroy the flow of the corners but it's for sure better than a slalom among the hay bales.
One positive thing about these chicanes is that they create a very safe spectator point for common public. Usually they are located on crossroads, i.e. in places accessible for the general public and their shape mostly require using a handbrake to go through.Last edited by Mirek; 3rd January 2019 at 12:43.

TBH I dont get why some places have anti-cut devices when other identical kind of places allow huge cutting and the throwing of dirt all over the road.
