So I don't think that real situation so bad as Mouton describing.
They don't cancel a stage very quickly so I think this might be really dangerous situation. I'm not there, you aren't there. Imposible to judge.

after Mouton checked stage as 'safe'. it need 30sec to move from safe to unsafe spot. Mouton pass stage 30 min before rally cars. So a lot of things can change, and we need cancel all stages int that reason?

I don't know the specifics but if you haven't seen them then don't judge so quickly. The sport has done a good job creating more interest but with so few stages there are more people watching with far fewer places to spectate from.

With only two stages tomorrow it could be a disaster.
Part of the problem. Spectators may think they are in a safe place, and they may well be, but arguing the toss and staying put is futile.
The organisers don't want the massive cost, hassle and negativity a fatal accident would bring.
Spectators should just comply, rather than ruining the stage for fans watching at home, drivers, team crews, TV crews, and for themselves.

One plus with more stages and stage kilometres is that people would be more evenly divided between stages. But these idiots keep shortening rallies and this way the stages will get more and more overcrowded what will eventually lead to cancelling stages.

There are clearly some members of this forum who have never stood on the side of a road or experienced Mouton's intransigence. In most locations 20m is either impossible or unnecessary. There is never any thought about trajectory or paths - just 'back 20 m'!
Kris Meeke got fired -PSG so terrified they quit!

This is what you get when you don't arrange super specials, the normal stages get overcrowded

    Disclaimer: This is a joke.

Except they were asked to move 20 m back, not to relocate and all of us who have been to the Monte know full well that fans stand in the stupidest of places every bloody year and the fact that more people haven't been killed is a miracle.

Mouton and her team are all ex drivers who knows where the cars end up when they go off so when she tells you to move, you move.

Have you been at a rally? this pretty much happens in every rally.

People move back into safety when safety cars and zero cars are passing. Once they're gone the'll move closer again. Its always been like this.
