It is also a bit hard to understand why Tommi and Kaj are often downplaying the comments from their drivers. It doesn't even sound joking but more of a disrespecting. Sure drivers knows best what kind of hits car should / should not handle and they won't constantly take unnecessary risks. If rally after rally you are following the same cutting in lines as others and only your car is smashing the rims, it starts to break your nerves for sure.

Then it's the same situation with Kris in Citroen and Lappi in Toyota. Man these two will be poor again.

If the problem really is the rims, then why don't the other have the same problem?
Unless they ordered specially designed rims that are lighter and less strong.

These are not wheels you buy off the shelf. Each team designs their wheel rim, tests them and then has them manufactured to their specifications.

I guess I have to give credit where credit's due... Never liked him as a driver, but Mikkelsen has done a superb job today. Especially with all the pressure he has to deliver some proper results this year. Sure it's Monte and there's plenty of stages to go, but well done anyway.

I don't believe they design anything about them besides the color.

It would make no sense to do that when there are big company's who are specialized in that. They don't design their own tyres of brake pads too.
