Fair play to Huttunen, the way he has driven today has been fantastic. We all love rally because when you see a guy properly let it off it’s the most spectacular sport there is, and today that guy has let it off....

Nice that they go through the tweets sometimes. But it's not the first time I've featured there

The regulations allow the replacement of certain parts of the roll cage. The main hoop for example cannot be replaced but certain other parts of the cage that are not as integral can be replaced. Each accident is unique and the scrutineers / FIA Technical chief decide what can be repaired and what can't. The fix can be carried out by anyone qualified, it does not need to be the cage manufacturer, although in most cases it is done this way, it is not a requirement.

Rollcages work as a complete structure with tubes in compression supporting each other. They are very strong this way but when you hit one tube square on the side it folds up like a taco. You can see this with a soda can, which you can almost stand on when end to end but you can cave the side in with a flick of your finger.
This tube was hit with the worst possible loading and it folded. It's not strong enough to support that type of impact by design because the wall thickness would be too great to work as needed.

Ogier not trying to make new frinds or fans. Took a penalty just because ”didn’t feel like driving in the slush” What a jerk. He made a mistake that was the reason for his startposition. Accept your own mistakes a be a man. My respect to him is 0

Nice experience on the forests so far! Loved the Röjden stage and also Vargåsen, I was located bit after Cc, I think really close to that spot from which Hari took those photos above. Did not like the Hagfors arena. Bad conditions, felt really artificial and bit boring design.

Others will follow until it is allowed and if they have to...it`s every man and team for themselves on those stages.
