Not the big fight till the end we were waiting for, still a nice win for Kopecky and a wise move from Luky; he’s been the fastest driver in the series since 2016, it’s about time to get the title! Nice show also from Gryazin; like Luky he’s adding reliability to an amazing speed. Seeks impressed again in U27 and seems to be close to win the champ. Hard task for Sordo; he wasn’t able to impress but having WRC drivers around is always a plus to ERC events.

Well done to all Kopecky, Luky and really all finishers, the conditions were absolutely trecherous out there. Kopecky, Luky, Sordo, Mares, Jakes, Sesks, Cais were all very impressive, enjoyed all their passes.
A little bit of how I saw the event:
On friday I began the city stage at the OMV station, but wandered around a bit and found a nice place under the big bridge, where they went into a roundabout and onto a smaller bridge. Some historics and the aforementioned names with some others (ie. Madsen) put on a good show there with spectacular moments.
For saturday, we went to the Semetín jump area, as we had not a lot of time to prepare for the event, and went with the safe choice as we knew the place from last year. But honestly, this year it wasn't as enjoyable there for me. Still a historic Astra and a Lada had spins there, but other than that, not much happened.
On sunday, we went to Maják, but in the end decided to go to the junction where they left the rundkurs part. In hindsight and looking at videos, we should have opted for our other idea, the forestry part where Klausz and others retired or had moments, but this was still a decentd little place with some moments.
All in all, it was an enjoyable event, with many good passes and moments, and the weather added a lot of spice. The fanfare around Luky, Kopecky and Sordo was enormous in the service park. I was sorry to see the Kaps stand was not as big as it used to be, I always liked going there and playing a bit with the gearboxes.Last edited by TWRC; 27th August 2018 at 09:26.

Crazy video full of offs and accidents: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q91Ih1o3o-o
By the way from what I could see in the last service Kopecký was probably the only one on slicks in the last section. All other top drivers had wet tyres.Last edited by Mirek; 27th August 2018 at 11:35.

Indeed very crazy video, a lot of moments....sometimes I wonder, if anybody sumarize all the damage (€€) on the cars, which were forced to retire due to accidents....I think on average in Czech republik just on one event crews ''throw away'' amount which for examle is not spent in the whole championship in one smaller country....

Kopecky says that he has no contract for next year and this year could be his last:

after that YouTube channel with tons of old rallying videos was 'stopped', now its time for one rallycross YouTube channel to have the same end. https://youtube.com/@rallygreat2660?feature=shared...
