    Quintin Milne ban

What's next? putting gps tracking bracelets/ anklets on Brit rally drivers so they do not enter forests before events?

The same National Court who handed out a 6 month ban to Jock Armstrong for 'mooning'. Simply not fit for purpose, and completely out of touch.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

That's a disgusting ban - 10 years!!! Was probably more for fun than anything else that he was riding his motorbike anyway. The same stages are used every year in Scottish rallies and all the drivers know them, so it's not like he's getting some sort of huge advantage. I think a one year ban in Scotland/ the UK would've sufficed. Every Scottish championship event is on shaky ground in terms of breaking even, with last minute scrambles to hit the required number of entrants or events can't run. I get that he's broken rules but a 10 year ban is simply laughable imo.

Milne has previous apparently, plus it's bad for Forestry Commission / MSA relations when the FC dont approve of motorbikes in the forests anyway.

10 years though, and that's also Internationally, is harsh.

    The court report here:
    https://www.msauk.org/assets/casenoj2018-03.pdf
gives a slightly different impression to the MSN article which appears to only consider what Mr Milne has to say.

Reading the court report it would appear that Mr Milne is a serial offender and he has also brought the sport into disrepute with his comments on social media. This will have been a significant factor in the sentence handed down.

He sounds like a bit of an arse, I automatically lose any respect for anyone that trots out the "you'd get less for murder" line. The issue clearly isn't the fact he's doing a recce before the event but that he's thrashing a motorbike round Forestry Commission land, which pisses off the FC. If the FC are pissed off then they're less likely to let events run, so this was probably causing problems for the local motor clubs in getting agreements in place to run stages.

10 years internationally sounds a bit harsh, but if you don't break the rules and act like nob end then you won't get a ban at all. Shouldn't be that difficult, plenty of other drivers manage it.
You're so beige, you probably think this signature is about someone else.
