We missed 5 stages on Tuesday with a broken diff, built a new diff from parts sourced locally, went from having a 4.77 diff to a 3.9 which wasn't ideal. Finished the rally with a few decent stage times and avoided any carnage. Great event which is a must to see or compete in for any rally fan.

I think we finished 27th in Classic.

Were the stage omissions tactical? You would saved some tyre wear by driving fewer kilometres.

Amazing how well the subaru - glenney did to keep up with the other cars at the front.

Netier National Capital Rally was held last weekend in Canberra. Round of Australian Championship and Asia Pacific.

I started in my new role as team manager after hanging up the helmet a few weeks back. Ran the father son team of Doug and Dave Wright, Doug in a 2006 Subaru and Dave in a Mitsubishi Mirage. Managed to get 3rd in the local series for Doug, unfortunately Dave had a misheard pacenote on Sunday and had an off.

Tough event this year with a lot of large rocks on the line, especially Saturday in Kowen forest. With rain on Saturday night it was going to be slippy on Sunday, red clay areas in some sections caught out a few cars. Also big issue was Kangaroo hits, lost several cars in the field to these.

Was a shame it was only a small field, but was quite strong with the R5 Skodas having the measure of the AP4 cars. Eli Evans drove a measured rally and had no major issues to win over Adrian Coppin in a R5 Skoda. Steve Glenney held 2nd for most of the event before blowing his turbo with a stage and a half to go, he managed to salvage a podium.

This coming weekend we now turn to the Bega Valley rally with the iconic Shire roads, 67 car field with a good mix of forest and shire roads.
