    2018 Pickems

As nobody is starting anything for the pickems next year, I might do it again. I will try to post results earlier, though it will be short results like I did from the last couple of rounds. Just standings after every Rally.
If anyone wants to take over, feel free to do so!
I'm going to open a topic for the Monte Carlo now.

Any suggestions or ideas for 2018?

I was thinking of changing the points system. I took it from previous years but frankly I don't think it's very logical.
This is the table as it is now (first colom is winner you picked etc, first row is winner of the rally etc):
    C\P 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
    1 10 7 3 1 1 1 1 1
    2 8 9 6 3 1 1 1 1
    3 6 7 8 5 2 1 1 1
    4 5 4 6 7 4 1 1 1
    5 4 3 3 5 6 3 1 1
    6 3 2 2 3 4 5 2 1
    7 2 1 1 1 2 3 4 2
    8 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 3

How I would do it next year:
    U\P 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
    1 25 14 8 3 1 1 1 1
    2 15 18 11 6 1 1 1 1
    3 10 14 15 9 4 1 1 1
    4 6 10 11 12 6 2 1 1
    5 4 6 8 9 10 5 2 1
    6 1 2 3 5 6 8 3 2
    7 1 1 2 3 4 5 6 3
    8 1 1 1 1 1 2 3 4

Also another idea, how about 1 drop result? For people who forget 1 pickem or have a bad score.

    Please give your opinions!

I'm fine either way, your proposal seems to reward getting the exact place more so it would be more unpredictable. Not sure which i like best.

The drop score is a good idea, i think it would keep things more interesting, maybe even 2 dropped rounds would work.

Simple results is fine if it make it easier for you to do. Does anyone have an idea for a more automatic system?

I should try to offer same system, which I am using in ERC. Which means automatic list of pickems throuhg system of this forum. All results are in one table, so it is easy to copy it into XLS file (which was made by makinen_fan).

Thanks for the effort mate. Your suggestions make total sense. Don’t bother taking time to show results and fell free to present them the way most suits you. We’re not difficult costumers! Cheers.

    Results Monte

Here are the results with the new point scoring system (you can find it in one of the previous posts).
1 result will be dropped from the mid way point of the season onwards.

I wasn't registered on the system in time, so can my dropped result be the Monte, or will it need to be after the halfway point in the season?

    Many Thanks.

Yes, Monte 0 score will be dropped. From the 2nd half of the season it will be counted in the standings, that is what I meant.

Once again 114 participants for the pick'em in Sweden (thank you everyone!). Difficult rally to predict, so the scores are quite low. The average score is 20 points lower (25 against 45 in Monte). Victory for Evian (109th in Monte Carlo, 1st in Sweden), ahead of AnttiL (96th in Monte) and GunClo / cosmin_sb.

In the general classification, this are the new standings:
