    As dimviii wrote plus also the bodyshell itself is stronger at B-pillar. The crew heads are shielded by the main arc which is the main and strongest structural part of the cage and also by the relatively strong B-pillar of the original shell.

    I'm happy to see Suninen and Evans fighting with steady performers Lappi and Sordo. But Neuville has been today on a class of his own. Although, Ogier and Latvala would have been in the same class.

    I wonder if it could be time to depower the wrc cars a little again and take a bit out of the r5s as well ?

    Take a bit out of the high energy impacts before people start being severely damaged.

    The cars usually don't crash on straights. You won't lower down cornering speed by downgrading the power. If You want the cars to go slower remove the downforce.
