The kidnappers must be a bit daft: Not only kidnapping someone's mother-in-law (what man would pay to get her back?) , but also asking for the ransom to be paid in Pound sterling - haven't they heard about Brexit?

I'd love to crack a mother-in-law joke too, but we should refrain considering that a human being's life is very much in danger, and the news is real, not a joke.

I tend to think of kidnap cases with the mega-wealthy where things have not worked out too well ( The 'Fiat' family, Hearst, Getty etc) so I hope things work out OK for this unfortunate lady.
