The Kiwi explains more about his crash with Prokop. "We took a wrong turn after SS12 and went maybe 300 metres before we turned around. On the way back we collided with Martin who had made the same mistake. These things happen. We're lucky that for us it's just cosmetic damage. Unfortunately for Martin, he had to park up. We'll make the repairs now and hope for a better run. I love the dark and I'm looking forward to it."

It's good that neither Paddon nor Prokop blame each other for the accident. Both describe it as an unfortunate incident.

not that sharp and there is right hander immediately after it, co-driver surely must have said that. he was just too late in braking and seem to have tried some correction which didn't work.

Since there has been logging in the area and big trucks and forest machines have gone there the mud has been pushed up so it's like ice.

He stopped because Gilsoul said the car was blocking the road, even if it wasn't really, Gilsoul couldn't see from his spot that it wasn't. He lost more than 31 by my calculations, so he lost about the same time as the ones that slowed if not more.

So if Gilsoul couldn't see why stop so far away without going to verify, let alone provide assistance if needed? Or was there a marshal up there holding them? As for the time stopped, to me it looked like less than 31 seconds plus how many did VW ask for before they got 31?
