I just come across it. Bloody hell, I can't believe it! I think he was a truly likeable chap and an underrated driver. May he rest in peace and his family find quick comfort.

I posted my shock on the News Thread article about it, but I will say again, a really dark day for F1.

He was a good driver and always entertaining.

    RIP Andrea
I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

    Hells-bells what next?

Andrea was great fun in a car. He had talent, but was a wee bit impetuous and didn't truely know his limits.

My enduring memory of Andrea was in his Alfa Romeo in the wet Monaco race of 1982. He made the lead with a couple of laps to run , when his thirsty Alfa beast rany dry, the t.v. showed him sitting on the barriers sobbing his eyes out, it would have been his and Alfa's only win (I know 1950 and 51, different time different Alfa Romeo team).

A sad day for motorsport and Italy.

Very sad to hear this news. I only started watching F1 at the tailend of is career but from what I've seen he was a very talented underrated driver. RIP Andrea.
