TRD3 DTM-Of note to Benz drivers.....

So I was curious how the three cars stacked against one another. If you view each in default settings and go to the transmission menu, you'll notice each is geared ever so slightly different (at least they are on the X Box). If you eqaulize all three cars on the same gear ratio as the Benz (I think I had to adjust 2nd gear by one or two hundredths on the Audi and Opel) with the resulting gear ratios for each car being .26/.38/.49/.60/.73/.87 you'll get the following performance benchmarks:

Audi and Opel 0-60 2.17 seconds
    0-100 4.33 seconds
    0-MAX 39.54 seconds
    Top Speed 214 MPH

    Mercedes 0-60 2.17
    0-100 4.33
    0-MAX 49.29 seconds
    Top Speed 216 MPH

I'd love to hear if other formats (PS2, PC) are similar.....

I bet 0-214 were the same for both of them. that extra 10 seconds was to get that last 2 MPH. the acceleration curve really flattens out as it nears the top.

I'm surprised that there's a 2MPH difference in the cars, to be honest with you. I fugured they just changed the engine sound & the body & left all the physics alone!

other than the engine noise, how much difference is there in the cars?

Wonder if it's really a programming error...

In TRD2 in the DTM cars there was quite a difference, the Opel Astra in particular was much slower than the other two cars.
