Very good run from Adam Morgan so far. What the contact between Menu and Smith on the pit straight was all about I've no idea.

Looked like Smith swerving at him to me. Most odd.

Ingram was fortunate his wheel didn't come off at a faster part of track.

Well, you won't see a better display of holding off arguably faster cars than by Arón Smith in the third Snetterton race. Superbly done. I'd expect to see Collard punished by the stewards for pushing Giovanardi round at the end; will Turkington escape penalty for his move on Neal?

Good to see Marc Hynes getting a bit more into it this weekend. He was largely competitive with Tordoff in the last race.

I can't understand why Giovanardi is so slow.

Today, I thought, was probably his most competitive showing so far. But overall he has been a real disappointment, and I don't understand why. It's not as if he completely lacked pre-season testing in the car, and I'd expect someone of his calibre to be able to adapt from one type of touring car (i.e. S2000) to another (NGTC). If the likes of Plato, Neal et al were able to do so without difficulty, I'd have thought a multiple champion in many international series to do likewise. Yes, the Airwaves Ford isn't especially competitive, but Mat Jackson is well up in the championship.

That neither Giovanardi nor Menu have truly shone thus far is one of the aspects that, for me, has seen the 2014 championship not living up to expectations. Menu has been involved in a lot of incidents, some of his own making (like that in race two today), some not.

I see Turkington has been given an 8 grid spot penalty for his incident with Neal, yet Neal has nothing for punting a very fast Morgan out the way?! Obviously the officials wouldn't be trying to close up the championship at all, and stop Plato bitching about RWD v FWD equalisation!

I actually don't think that's too unfair, on the grounds that Neal effectively took a penalty by being punted by Turkington. But no penalty for Collard regarding his spinning Giovanardi out?
