Even made it in the BBC TV news this morning. I was really surprised to see a photo of Gronholm on the TV while at the gym this morning
Hope it helps boost the rallying championships here

Could be huge news. As a sprint/hillclimb competitor this is very big news for us as it opens up a good few opportunities.

It could be great news. I actually think it'll be more for sprint/ hillclimbs benefit, than rallying.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Living in West Yorkshire there would be loads of places close to me that would be great for hill climb events! And honestly, who gives a fig about a London Grand Prix? Get real...

Yep, great excitement around the paddock of the hillclimb I was at over the weekend. Still a lot of hurdles to get through, not least find a road smooth enough but also one that the MSA are happy to run and jumping through the hoops of local government (which are many-fold).

It truly is great news! Sadly I fear the biggest battle will be with the narrow minded NIMBYS, who can't put up with things like motorsport for a couple days a year!

More likely that they don't understand what it would entail. If you watch some of the events in Switzerland it's a big deal and the towns have massive turnouts...sadly in the UK motorsport is not viewed in the same way.
