    I can imagine it was a big pain in the butt, with all the points that can be earned per race. Finish position, laps led, etc. It'd be interesting, but I wouldn't want to do it either.

    It's more work than it's worth, and it still doesn't work very well for F1. For example, under the NASCAR system, you have to complete one lap to score points (in a system that's set up for 43 starters), and at Indy last year, 7 drivers were taken out at turn one. So the 15th place driver got 118 points and everyone taken out at turn one got 0.
