2 threads about this? Anyway, my interest will be what effect 12 years of F1 (and a couple in F3000) has on the king of journey man racers. He was a dead weight in Mercedes's GT/Le Mans program in 98/99. Surely, he should assert himself as a top 2 driver in the class?

I would not call Aussie Grit a journeyman, he won 9 F1 GPs, a journeyman does not win any GPs in their F1 careers.
I would not like to be sharing the car with him given his paucity of luck at times.
Some comments I have read were not very encouraging about wec video livestreaming, so the default could be audio from radio lemans.

An amazing start. The opening laps were like a 10 lap sprint rather than an endurance race.
Also the pace of the front 6 is amazing. Lapped all the GT cars after 14 minutes.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

Any news on how Mark performed on the track? The WEC site has been terrible to get any detailed info.

I have only just finishing watching yesterdays race.
What a crazy and incident filled opening round that was. Audis Crashing several times, a Toyota 1-2 and Porsche claiming 3rd.
Rebellion and Lola (in the last race maybe for a Lola car) claiming a nice 4th.
LMP 2 was close too.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy
It was on qualifying stage, he rolled the car and it was said that he won't be able to start the rally. But team managed to repair the car and he did start and dominated drivers like Rossel, Gryazin...
