Sounds like you disagree with them?
Thing is, their weight might just be heavy enough to scrap the whole thing. Hard to argue with what they are saying.... essentially, if it’s not cost effective, they won’t do it. Can’t see why that doesn’t make sense to you.
I dont disagree with what they are saying but its the way they do it, like they think they are bigger than the sport.

It's just boring to watch if you can easily predict the results, like this year in WRX. I watch maybe only one or two events but I'm not missing anything for the rest if only name was VW and Kristoff at the end of each event.
Id say that Ford and Subaru are really the only ones that might have pulled out due to Citroen. And Ford have always stayed invested in it with Malcolm, just not full factory.

Skoda and Suzuki were out before Citroen were really at their peak. Mini had a car with potential to challenge but fell out with Prodrive. Mitsubishi changed direction as a company and basically pulled out of all motorsport.

Not trying to argue, but the sport is nothing without competitors. Loeb, Gronholm, Solberg have been around enough to know what’s what (yeah, I get that their interests will always come first), but it does sound like they’ve been shafted and they’ve been shafted by a sport that many are walking away from.
Whichever way you look at it, they do have more power than the promotors at present and, let’s face it, the series can’t exactly tell them to Foxtrott-Oscar right now. Loeb’s comments alone, that people don’t even know he’s participating are pretty damning, to say the least.
My biggest worry is that rallying may find itself in a similar predicament in a couple of years, given the expense of putting a decent team together, but I’m just hoping that the FIA have more of an interest and therefore, will help steer it in a good direction, compared to RX, where they don’t seem that arsed about it at all.

He admited that if VW stays that beating them is mission impossible. Hope they will gone (and don't spit on me now), so that makes other privateers still in the game. It would be at least interesting to watch if others would step on the podiums or even win.
