Oberon Rally

This weekend is the 2nd round of the ACT Regional Rally series. Held in the plantation forests around the Central West town of Oberon in NSW.

Field of 38 cars headed by the Rallye Equip team of Frank and Jamie Neale in an EVO 5 Lancer, followed by another EVO 5 driven by former ACT champion Trevor Stilling.

Should be warm and dusty for the event, but there will be plenty of beers afterwards at the Black Springs service park. Most of the field will camp overnight and suffer the consequences the next morning.

Although this year we won't have the wanderings of Jimbo aka (Shirt Hunter on these forums) who has severe amnesia from previous years after event celebrations.

Will give a full event report on Sunday night, we are starting car 4 in the VR4.

We DNF'd after stage 2 with a broken oil line that dumped all the oil out of the engine. Didn't want to risk the engine, so we pulled the pin. Our team mates won the event.
