That could have ended very badly. I know the road is wet and perhaps they weren't expecting the cars to need more space to brake but It couldn't be impossible to have the stop 100 meters later.
fingers crossed, just imagine a evo grN with more top speed than a wrc car,and an inexperienced driver, trying to brake with the road blocked from some 20 people, some of them seating at chairs.....
Indeed, hoppefully it will serve the organizers as experience to not do it again.

No, it's not a shame. The shame is that Rally2 exists at all.
    Tell that to Delecour's sponsors.
Given that they have been sponsoring him for a few years now, I'm sure they knew the risks.

It's a real strange way to set up a stage finish... full pace on 6th gear and 100m until stop!? Happy ending and that's good.

But seriously - what's about Hirvonen!? I'm getting disappointing, had hoped for much more speed now when he is back in the lovely Fiesta!
And with a corner in the braking area, which is usually a recipe for disaster.

Drivers would have recced this finish, maybe layout is wrong, usually 300m from finish to stop.

yes must be much more than 100-150 meters.Boiled brakes some times dont be up to the job at stage ends.
