Maybe I don't understand the question or perhaps I am all screwed up. Buddy Baker left Wood Brothers in 1984 in race #29 at Atlanta. Bobby Rahal raced for Wood Brothers at Riverside in 1984 in race #30.

I think that was only for one race.

The question is regarding Baker's self-owned #88 car, not the Wood Brothers 21.

I can see where/how I confused things. I was making a historical reference to the Wood Brothers as Baker's last ride prior to starting his own team.

I should've asked the question as "....first driver to replace Baker as driver in HIS team's car?"
