Whats going to happen to BBC F1?

With the BBC getting the FA Cup back, what's going to happen, if anything, to it's coverage of Formula 1?

Nothing for the moment, I doubt the FA Cup has any bearing. However there has been speculation that it's winding down it's F1 coverage.

    Where did you read that?
The BBC are in an F1 contract until 2018- wont it have to pay to get out of it? If it does, Bernie might be a bit stuck!

    I wouldn't say it's imminent, but possible.

I hope not, I much prefer listening to dc and Eddie than brundle.

Stating the obvious here but this is bound to lose f1 a load of viewing figures.... This can't be what Bernie wants, surely?
Ha'wey Hamilton, bring the WDC crown home and the beers are on me

F1 is heading down if not death road then badly injured road. If there is ever no F1 coverage on free view then F1 in the UK is screwed.
I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's 5 sporting events that have to be shown on free tv in the uk by law.
The Olympics (Winter and Summer) The Fa Cup final, The World Cup, Wimbledon and the British Grand Prix!

A customer told me this a few weeks ago so I wasn't 100% sure
If someone could shed some light would be tidy.
