Pikes Peak was great in the unpaved, old days.
Now on asphalt itīs still spectacular but with hybrids or even full electric cars itīs plain boring...

Electric engines are the future. Better than internal combustion in every aspect. It's good to see internationally famous event allowing so many prototypes.

Not sure if I believe that electric is the future.
80% of cars in New York 100 years ago ran electric and one of the reasons why the didnītīmake it in the long run, was the amount of tragic and fatal accidents because of lack of audible sound (Loud pipes do safe lives!).

Today we still have the problem of properly storing the power and the amount required for a race distance longer than Pikes Peak.

    But weīll see...

I may need to schedule a family visit in Colorado to coincide with Pike's Peak this year.

The official annoucement says that Peugeot has led to Pikes Peak joining forces with such key partners as Total, Red Bull and Michelin. So, Vialatte's design could be closer:

This is the 208 GTi for Nurburgring. If we add the Red Bull colours, maybe we'll get a better idea of its livery.

Peugeot has also uploaded this image on Twitter:
