Not to Rally Finland. For most others yes.

Hmm. I haven't visited the foreign rallies but I have a feeling that Monte and Argentina have only some forbidden areas, other than that everything goes. On most other rallies it's the other way around. Only spectate at spectator areas and everything else is not allowed for public. Of course, in rallies like Finland and Sweden you see the experienced spectators finding their own paths to the stages and behaving well, but not on the small roads of Turkey, Mexico, Sardegna or Portugal.

Having been to Argentina there aren't allowed areas, only restricted areas, and marshalls yell at you when or if they deem you're at risk. It's pretty lenient, and I can't say I felt 100% safe in some areas, but it's good that they're unobtrusive and quite liberal. The crowds, generally, are understanding and compliant too.

Controls on El Cóndor particularly were quite good... Except for some people standing on the edge of a cliff, behind a knee tall stone wall, on a fast, bumpy straight section.

In Catalunya there was a freedom of movement on all stages and I actually thought at least the Shakedown was tad bit too loose on safetywise. But other than that I actually don't remember seeing that many marshalls.

Interesting story from Robert Reid from the 1996 Safari and how the event changed when suddenly all works teams had to take part.

The perfect hybrid system for the WRC?

From 2022 the BTCC will use a light, cost effective, low-voltage hybrid system, additional to current turbo engines: http://www.btcc.net/2019/04/10/toca-...-introduction/

that was fun. And a bit funny too .."Tommi practiced for 20+ days in a GpA car and soon worked out that going flat out was not going to last long."

    Unintentionally funny, maybe.?

    ..20+ days is soon?
