The itinerary is only slightly different from the 2012 edition. The St. Oswald stage is completly new. This stage hasn´t been used in the last ten years. I think that this stage is driven on an altitude between 800 and 900 m above sea level.

The Pregarten stage is also different from last year. The start isn´t located in the center of Pregarten any more. It´s started in Selker, where they started the last time in 2007. The route of the stage is similiar to the 2007 edition until Pregartsdorf. From Pregartsdorf to the finish it´s the same than 2012.

I´m really looking forward to the rally. Hope we´ll have some snow and a nice entry list.

Jänner Rallye has every year one big problem - it is too early. For everybody, but mainly for the teams...

true, but a jänner rallye in march makes no sense

I think that this is hardly possible. As known, the service park is also located on Freistadt´s bus terminal. In Freistadt are many schools and most pupils reach their school by bus. One week later the Cristmas Holidays are already finished in Austria and there is no space in Freistadt where the busses could stop else properly.
An other problem is, that the most important downhill races of the alpine ski worldcup (Wengen and Kitzbühel) take place in the two weeks after the rally. Against this events the Jänner Rallye would get absolutly no publicity in Austria. Espacially the Kitzbühel ski race is by far the most important sport event in Austria.

big problem is the people wich works for the rally, you know there are hundrets of people involved, with this date beginning of the year, everybody in austria has christmas holiday....if they change the date for the race 2-3 weeks later then there would be a lot of people missing because of theire jobs....

and for spectators it is also better because of holiday!
