I love this one! Beres Senior parks his car in the grass so he could watch how his son is doing in the Audi Quattro S1!

er um let me find my suspension builder hat,, OK ..Like it? Looks to me like way way short travel. and that means you have to spring it stiff, and of course damping has to match springing BUT when its so short and you expect asphalty---you don't account for REAL unweight/full weight.. And unless you have some compression damping dialed in its going to bottom easily---then bounce. Of course compression damping is always the hard one to get just right...
Of course I could be way off, but maybe not.

Horrible looking thing, what was it?

(I have to go on Sunday night and chop on some strut tubes for rally VW! Dinner is ready but I have to run :bigcry

Yes, I agree with the too short suspension travel but I think it's mostly because of the simple torsion beam axle together with stock damper mounting points in gr.N car (they can hardly make damper travel longer).

In this rally I actually saw the worst ever suspension on a Rally car - it was old Wartburg! The driver must have been really brave to drive this one I wonder how he didn't had sea sickness

+1 common problem at this type of suspensions.

Thank Dog we don't have FIA classes and the miserable N classes here. Still more than half the projects in suspesnion I am doing I'm saying to people "Cut and weld in some towers once and then you have nice rear suspesnion with some travel enough I can do something".

You didn't say what the bouncy car was.
